Rating: 4.5/5 – Really Interesting and pretty weird.
A hitman, a writer, and some others get into a series of strange adventures around the use of black magic.
What’s Awesome About It?
The art is the first thing about What Don’t You Understand – it’s weird, somewhat surreal, and quite good, doing an absolutely excellent job of conveying the mood of the story. The story, while somewhat confusing and mysterious by its nature, has strong pacing and leads you into wanting to know more about what’s going on. The characters too, have a strong sense of personality through their dialog and unique visual representations, that really tie the story together. Combine all this with a strong sense of action, and you get one hell of a comic so far.
What Don’t You Understand may leave you not understanding a few things, but it has the visual flair, excitement, and the uniqueness of the world it creates that really make it a don’t-miss read.
